About Us

Ashington Folk Club head every alternate Thursday in either the Folk Bar or the Bothal Suite at The Institute, Institute Road, Ashington, Northumberland. (See Home & Diary for dates and venues). The evening starts at 8.30pm with an entry fee of £1.00.

We use a small PA and record the whole evening to minidisc or digital recorder.

The team currently consists of Pat & Doug Yeowart, Ben Yeowart & Tristan Sturgeon. We may or may not tell you more about ourselves on this site in the future.

Ashington Folk Club is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis. Our income comes only from door admission and the proceeds of our raffle. This is used to maintain our PA equipment and pay for publicity.

Bookings

If you wish to be considered as a main act, please contact us by e-mail (see below) with a few details. We realise that many performers will have a website with samples etc, but we would prefer (if possible) a demo CD which can be passed around the organisers.
